Matt Groening Authentic Autographed The Simpsons Bart Sketch
Matt Groening signed this piece and added a hand-drawn Bart Simpson sketch, the character he has been drawing since he pitched The Simpsons as a set of animated shorts for The Tracey Ullman Show in 1987. Groening's Bart drawings are quick line work done from memory. The series has since run more than thirty-five seasons. Each sketch is drawn by hand, so the Bart on this piece exists nowhere else. Essential for animation collectors.
Groening sketched the family in a lobby while waiting to go into that pitch meeting, naming most of them after his own relatives and changing only the eldest son. Bart was the early breakout, to the point that the merchandise ran ahead of the show itself. This item is sealed and authenticated by PSA/DNA.
