Al Pacino Authentic Autographed Scarface Script
Al Pacino signed this complete movie script from Scarface, Brian De Palma's 1983 film about a Cuban refugee who lands in Miami with nothing and takes over the city's cocaine trade. Pacino plays Tony Montana at full volume for close to three hours, in a performance that split critics on release and has been quoted steadily ever since. Oliver Stone wrote the screenplay. Tony's rise from dishwasher to the largest supplier in Miami takes up the first two acts, and his collapse takes the third. Essential for serious film collectors.
Scarface did modest business in theaters and then became a permanent fixture on home video, absorbed into hip hop and poster culture in a way few crime films manage. Pacino prepared for months, including dialect work and boxing training, before shooting began. The performance drew Pacino a Golden Globe nomination for best actor in a drama. The script runs from the Mariel boatlift to the final stand at the mansion.
