The band's 2005 double album marked an ambitious departure, with one disc of hard-charging rock songs and another of acoustic tracks that showcased the band's versatility and songwriting depth. Grohl's evolution from Nirvana drummer to one of rock's most respected frontmen is evident throughout the album's twenty tracks.
