Wong Fei-hung is the role that made Jet Li a household name across Asia, and this 12x18 photo from Once Upon a Time in China carries his signature. Tsui Hark's 1991 film reworked a character who had been on screen for forty years into something larger: a martial artist holding a line against gunboats, opium traders and a collapsing dynasty. Li was in his late twenties when he shot it. Great addition to any action collection.
The series became one of Hong Kong cinema's defining franchises, and its theme music is recognized instantly across the region. Li performed the umbrella and ladder sequences with minimal doubling. Printed at 12x18, larger than the standard photo size.
