Nathan Fillion Authentic Autographed Firefly Script
The original Firefly pilot, Serenity, introduces Malcolm Reynolds as a defeated soldier turned smuggler, and this complete script carries Nathan Fillion's signature. Whedon wrote it as a two-hour opener that establishes the war, the ship and all nine crew members before the first job goes sideways. Fox declined to lead with it and aired the series out of order, so most viewers met Mal a week later instead. Essential for serious Firefly collectors.
The episode finally ran in December 2002 as the last one Fox broadcast, which is part of why the show never found its footing on television. Viewers who came to it on DVD got the story in the intended order and turned Firefly into a long-running cult property. Scripts are production documents, so the text matches what was shot.
