Richard Dreyfuss signed this 8x10 photo from Jaws, where he plays Matt Hooper, the young oceanographer who arrives in Amity with money, education and no patience for the town's politics. Dreyfuss spends the film as the only person who understands what they are dealing with and cannot get anyone to act on it early enough. He was in his late twenties when it was shot. Hooper arrives by seaplane with equipment nobody in Amity has seen before. Perfect for film collectors.
The autopsy scene and the shark cage sequence are the two moments the character is remembered for. The 1975 film ran badly over schedule and became the first summer blockbuster. Printed at 8x10, the standard photo size.
